The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

A totally adequate purchase - nothing outstanding, nothing problematic. Since the original was one of your stock images, I cannot speak to whether this was a clear image, besides which the original was a watercolor, so clarity is not essential to the success of the image. I predict that a larger image would lack clarity. But I'm generally satisfied.

My husband and I had a lovely trip to Paris and southern France last July. While on a bus trip we were able to take a photo of this cafe that we share a name with. Our photo was a little blurry and not good for enlargement. Your wonderful photo now hangs in our own kitchen as a nice reminder of that trip. It is beautiful and of very good quality. We love it. This is a beautifully detailed botanical illustration from the 1831 book, 'Medical Botany', jointly illustrated by Dr. John Stephenson and James Morss Churcill. The subject of these vintage illustrations are plants and herbs with a medicinal value and there are over 150 hand-painted panels that form the book. This book and the illustrations therein brought new knowledge to the western world about the identification and classification of these medicinal plants.The book contains accurate, realistic, hand-made sketches of plants and herbs and it is considered a major milestone in organizing and consolidating the knowledge of medicinal plants. To nature lovers, botanists and natural medicine practitioners, panels from this work can be an excellent choice as a collectors item. These handmade works of art are some of the finest examples of botanical illustrations and these have been reproduced here in high resolution to be used as art prints, tapestries and more.
