This trio might be planning their next coup de popcorn as they conspire on the pilings. We have had a few beach trips where one gull stood watch while the other crept nearer and nearer until he dove into our beach bag and snitched a bag of popcorn. Quickly taking flight to feast at a safer distance, lest we take back what was ours. I think the movie that had gulls clamoring, "Mine, mine" was probably quite accurate. If we could translate their calls, that might be the very word! While salt interplayed with paint in Gulls Threesome, here we have a bolder take on the same theme. The blues, browns and blacks are more bold and each gull's feather pattern explored in more detail to convey the personality of each. These gulls covey to me the bulk of those I've seen in Camden, Maine which we affectionately term "Bruiser Seagulls" as they are distinctly heftier in their build and maybe bolder in their pursuit of popcorn.
